Politicians
I'm getting tired of politicians putting their noses into our daily lives with no real concern how their decisions will effect others. It strikes me as odd that legislators can push for health care reform for the general public, but have a separate program for themselves so that they don't have to deal with the consequences. As an example of these consequences, we could look to the problems developing in Social Security. If they were subject to the same flawed pension system, the legislature and the president would actually be concerned about the effect of their decisions.

Money Back Guarantees
As some might know, I have been studying for the CPA exam, and have had success in three of the four exam sections. I have been using the Bisk CPA Review software. I will not go into the many errors that the software has infused in it's terribleness. Suffice it to say, using the software was frustrating. The thing that I am griping about today is the customer service that is provided. I complied with all of the requirements to answer all of the questions and spend over a minute on each one. I mailed them my statistics via certified mail. Then I promptly informed them of the worst event in my life since the New Kids On The Block reunited. I have now spent over two months calling and emailing several people in sales, customer service, and technical support. They don't understand the concept of "I put my statistics in a folder labelled 'Statistics'." Hopefully I can convince them through the art of persistence. If they do send me the refund, it still won't cover the cost of taking the exam again. Man I hope I come up with my million dollar idea soon.

Gay Rights
I'm tired of the whole gay rights discussion. And in an effort to make my opinion known, I am posting my opinion. I will start out with the statement that I am not anti-gay. I believe that people are entitled to make the choices that they want. If that includes living with someone of your own gender, so be it. I also believe that if a member of a gay couple is in the hospital, their partner should be able to see them. I do not believe that gay marriage should be allowed. Marriage is an age old rite, not a right, between "man and wife" which I think should be kept sacred. The homosexual community should respect that as much as they ask for respect and acceptance of others.
The heart of my contention with the gay pride community comes from the hypocrisy that I see. They say that they want their voices to be heard, and that their beliefs should be respected. Then the minute another group steps up and states their beliefs and opinions, it is immediately struck down, protested, and violently attacked. This is wrong and should not be.
